Digital Dependence

Do you find yourself spending more time on your phone than with your loved ones? We’ve all seen the mom out in the park  with her kids laser focused on her phone while the kids are doing everything possible to get her attention.  Or the couple sitting together at a restaurant, silent, while they stare at their phones…instead of at each other.  Even worse, what about the driver who takes repeated “peeks” at their cell while driving!  But even if you don’t engage in any of those behaviors you might still be spending an enormous amount of time on your phone scrolling through pix, Facebook, news, and even the weather. Time you could and, perhaps, should be spending outdoors, enjoying nature, or simply walking your dog!  You’ve seen the people on their cells doing that too.
